「奉納提灯見立」は、芝居や物語で知られた女性たちを当世風の美人に見立て、奉納提灯を模した意匠とともに描いた美人画シリーズです。

今作に描かれているのは、「重井筒」のおふさに見立てた美人。

華やかな黄色の着物に身を包み、静かに手元へ目を落とす姿が瑞々しく描かれています。

“Hono Chochin Mitate” is a series of bijin-ga, portraying women from popular plays and stories as fashionable beauties of his day, alongside designs inspired by votive lanterns. Here, the beauty represents Ofusa from Kasane Izutsu. Dressed in a vibrant yellow kimono, she looks quietly down at her hands—a fresh and graceful moment captured by Kunisada.
