四季の眺は春夏秋冬の四巻からなる豪華な艶本。

享保の改革以降、春画は取締りの対象となり、地下出版の形で制作が続けられました。

制約を逃れたことで、絵師や版元は最高の摺や彫の技術と材料を用いることができ、春画は卓越した技巧を今に伝える魅力的な存在と言えます。

Shiki no Nagame is a luxurious erotic series made up of four volumes — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. After the Kyoho Reforms, shunga was banned and continued to be produced secretly.
Freed from official rules, artists and publishers used the finest printing techniques and materials, making shunga a fascinating example of the incredible craftsmanship of the Edo period.
