英泉による「花姿逢妓合」

渓斎の号を用いる以前に制作された、比較的初期の英泉作品です。

文化年間〜文政初期にかけての英泉の美人画には、「英泉筆」と署名されている点が特徴として挙げられます。

英山の作風の影響も感じられ、褪色することなく美しく保存された色目が魅力的な貴重な一作です。

Bijin-ga by Eisen from the Bunka to early Bunsei periods are known for being signed “Eisen hitsu,” and this work shows that characteristic signature as well.

The influence of Eizan’s style can still be seen, and the beautifully preserved colors make this a particularly rare and appealing work.
